This site is run by Ordwell, a sole proprietorship based in Ontario, Canada. This page describes what information the site collects, what happens to it, and how to get it removed.
What this site collects on its own
Nothing you type. There are no forms, no accounts, no newsletter signup, and no comments. There is nothing on this site to fill in.
There is no analytics software, no tracking pixels, and no advertising code. This site sets no cookies.
What the hosting provider logs automatically
This site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel records standard technical information each time a page is requested: the requesting IP address, the browser and operating system reported by the browser, the page requested, and the time of the request. This happens automatically at the server level and is used to serve the site and to keep it running.
These logs are handled under Vercel’s own privacy terms, and Vercel operates servers outside Canada, which means this technical information may be processed outside the country. Vercel’s privacy policy is at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
Domain and email routing
The ordwell.ca domain uses Cloudflare for DNS, which records DNS query information under its own terms. Cloudflare also carries email sent to the address on this site — see “If you email me” below. Cloudflare’s privacy policy is at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
If you email me
The email address on this site opens your own email program. If you write to me, I receive your email address and whatever you choose to put in the message.
Mail sent to that address passes through Cloudflare Email Routing, which forwards it to my mailbox. Cloudflare and my mailbox provider both operate servers outside Canada, so your message may be processed and stored outside the country.
I use what you send to reply to you and to do the work we discuss. I don’t add you to a mailing list, I don’t sell it, and I don’t share it with anyone else unless you ask me to or the law requires it.
If you book a call
The booking link on this site goes to Cal.com, a scheduling service. When you book, Cal.com collects the information you enter — typically your name, email address, and the time you picked — and shares it with me so I know about the appointment.
Cal.com processes that information under its own privacy terms, at cal.com/privacy. Booking a call is optional; you can email me instead.
If you become a client
Work I do for clients is covered by the agreement we sign, not by this page. That agreement sets out what information I handle on your behalf, where it is stored, and what happens to it when the work ends.
How long information is kept
Emails and booking records are kept while we are in contact and for as long as the work is active. When an enquiry goes nowhere or a project ends, I delete them within twelve months — except records I have to keep for tax purposes, such as invoices and payment records, which Canadian tax rules require me to retain for six years.
Server logs are retained by Vercel according to their own retention schedule, which I do not control.
Getting your information removed
Email me at hello@ordwell.ca and ask. I will delete what I hold about you and confirm when it’s done. If some of it has to be kept — a paid invoice, for example, which tax rules require me to retain — I’ll tell you what and why.
You can also ask what information I hold about you, and I’ll tell you.
Children
This site is aimed at business owners. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from them.
